Enjoy Smooth & Polished Skin

Undo the signs of aging with a microdermabrasion treatment. Robert Stevens Face & Body, located in Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania, performs this anti-aging skin treatment to eliminate the appearance of wrinkles and decrease scarring, as well as offer many other great benefits to improve the look and feel of your skin.

What Is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion, also known as a microderm, is one of the most effective anti-aging treatments you can get. A microderm is essentially a powerful skin exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and allows for deeper penetration of skin care serums and creams.

As we age, our regular cycle of sloughing off dead skin slows down. This causes our skin to age and wrinkle. With regular microderm treatments, the skin will rebuild collagen and maintain a more youthful appearance.

Woman with Smooth Clean Skin

Our microderm system is a mechanical exfoliation. The esthetician uses a wand to spray very fine aluminum oxide crystals onto the skin and then instantly vacuums them away. It is sort of like "sandblasting" the dead skin away. This is the best possible microderm system available in advanced skin care. Manual microdermabrasions cannot be compared to this. With a crystal microderm treatment, a light tingling sensation can be felt during the process and on more sensitive skin, a slight pinkness may develop. All in all, when your treatment is complete, your skin feels smooth and looks incredibly luminous. There is minimal to zero downtime for a microderm.

Benefits Include:

• Diminishes Fine Lines & Wrinkles
• Softens & Smooths Skin Texture
• Decreases Scarring
• Decreases Pore Size
• Helps Reduce Hyperpigmentation or Age Spots
• Helps with Acne & Blemishes
• Makes Skin More Luminous & Glowing

Precautions to Take

Before all microderm treatments, it is recommended that you do not exfoliate with facial scrubs or use cleansers or lotions that contain skin treatments, such as benzoyl peroxide or glycolic acid. After treatment, a gentle cleanser and moisturizer with a physical sunscreen is recommended. Avoidance of the sun for the first day or two afterwards is also important due to a higher skin sensitivity.

Avoid at-Home Treatments

Don't expect to get the same results with a home microdermabrasion kit, which essentially works like a scrub. In fact, you can easily overdo it and irritate or damage your skin.
